The February 8th Palace show was ace. They just seemed a lot livelier with their impromptu songs, Ben's removal of his pants, and "White Man's Rap". Unfortunately they did not play Evaporated or Cigarette, although Ben told me before the show that they were thinking about it. After the show a good friend (Adam) snuck us into the private party upstairs. Didn't bother them though, just watched and listened. The souvenir of the night--my friend got Ben to sign this ticket for a free tour of a Scientology exhibit for me (Daniel :] you're ace).

I also had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend, when I went to see 2 Ben Folds Five shows in a row. I hadn't seen them before (I didn't know about the Counting Crows show and the H.O.R.D.E. festival was too expensive) so it was definitely good fun. The guest band Travis was also delightful. I really liked them. You can read a L.A. Times review of the Strand (now known as "Club Caprice") show at my Ben Folds Five Media Page or just look at the pictures below.

These pictures were taken by my friend, Sandra, at the concerts, and scanned by yours truly late at night at Kinko's. I'd really like to keep these photos on my site, so I'd appreciate that you don't steal them.
